On May 20, 2024 our friend and Kewadin colleague Mike Allison was

airlifted to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit because a mass was found

on the right temporal lobe of the brain. One week later he was

diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma. This began a 6 month intensive

chemotherapy regimen in Traverse City where he spent one week in

hospital and one week home. On his weeks home, Mike continued to

work much to the surprise of his oncologist. This routine cost Mike

dearly as half of his monthly income was not enough to cover his living

and medical expenses and his savings were quickly eaten up. Mike is

now entering the most dangerous and difficult part of his cancer

battle. He is about to begin an 8-12 week treatment at the University

of Michigan Cancer Center in Ann Arbor where he will undergo a painful

stem cell transplant. He will be unable to work throughout this and is

now needing our help.

Now it is our turn to help Mike on his challenging road to try to beat

believe he can overcome this.
