Hi friends! My sweet dog Mika needs an unexpected surgery at the end of July to remove and determine the cause of a mass on her leg. Mika is the goofiest, most loving, and loyal companion—we have been through a lot together, and now she needs some help.

The estimated cost of her surgery, lab testing, and follow-up care is between $800 and $1,200, but I won’t know the total cost until after the procedure. I’ve set the fundraising goal at $1,000, and any extra funds will go directly toward her ongoing care and recovery.

I know there are so many horrible things happening in the world right now, and so many places where your money and energy could go. If you're able to donate—whether it’s $5 or $50—it would mean the world to me (and Mika). As a full-time social work grad student, I am unable to cover this kind of expense on short notice.
