This is the heartbreaking reality I face every day as a father. My name is Eugene Rugene Kock, and I’m reaching out for help because my 14-year-old daughter, Alysha Fara Kock, is battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a cruel and relentless disease that has turned her life upside down.

Alysha used to be full of energy, laughter, and dreams of the future. She loved running around with her friends, playing sports, and was always full of life. But now, MS has stolen her freedom. Her once lively body now struggles to function. She’s constantly fatigued, her mobility is limited, and the disease affects every aspect of her well-being. The Alysha I see now is a shadow of the vibrant young girl she once was, and it’s devastating to witness as her parent.

In Aruba, the specialized treatments Alysha needs are simply not available. We’ve consulted with countless doctors here, but her condition is beyond what they can manage locally. The best chance Alysha has for a better quality of life is in the Netherlands, where top MS specialists can offer the treatments and therapies she so desperately needs. We have found hope, but that hope comes with a price that, as her father, I cannot shoulder alone.

We are humbly asking for your support. The funds we raise will go directly toward Alysha’s medical care ;consultations with MS experts, treatments, necessary medications, and therapies. Beyond that, we will need to cover travel expenses, accommodations for both Alysha and myself in the Netherlands, and any unforeseen costs that may arise as part of this journey.

Mijn naam is Eugene Rugene Kock en ik doe een beroep op jullie hulp omdat mijn 14-jarige dochter, Alysha Fara Kock, vecht tegen Multiple Sclerose (MS), een meedogenloze ziekte die haar leven volledig op z’n kop heeft gezet.

Alysha was altijd vol energie, gelach en dromen voor de toekomst. Ze hield van spelen met haar vrienden, sporten en straalde van levenslust. Maar nu heeft MS haar vrijheid afgenomen. Haar ooit zo levendige lichaam worstelt om te functioneren. Ze is constant vermoeid, haar mobiliteit is beperkt en de ziekte beïnvloedt elk aspect van haar welzijn. De Alysha die ik nu zie, is een schaduw van het levendige meisje dat ze ooit was, en het is hartverscheurend om dat als ouder mee te maken.

In Aruba zijn de gespecialiseerde behandelingen die Alysha nodig heeft simpelweg niet beschikbaar. We hebben talloze artsen geraadpleegd, maar haar situatie is te complex om hier lokaal te behandelen. De beste kans die Alysha heeft op een betere kwaliteit van leven ligt in Nederland, waar toonaangevende MS-specialisten haar de behandelingen en therapieën kunnen bieden die ze zo hard nodig heeft. We hebben hoop gevonden, maar die hoop komt met een prijs die ik als vader niet alleen kan dragen.

We vragen nederig om jullie steun. De fondsen die we inzamelen, zullen rechtstreeks worden gebruikt voor Alysha’s medische zorg: consultaties met MS-specialisten, behandelingen, benodigde medicatie en therapieën. Daarnaast moeten we reiskosten, accommodatie voor zowel Alysha als mijzelf in Nederland, en eventuele onvoorziene kosten dekken die tijdens deze reis kunnen ontstaan.

Als vader is het ondraaglijk om je machteloos te voelen terwijl je kind lijdt. Maar ik geloof in de goedheid en vrijgevigheid van anderen.
