Help Miguel Become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Hello, my name is Miguel Altamirano, and I’m a full-time doctoral student at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, working toward becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
God willing, I’ll graduate in August 2026.
My program is nine semesters long, with each semester costing $5,000 to $9,000. I have three semesters left, and I’m reaching out for help to continue this journey.
In addition to school, I’m:
Completing a Quality Improvement Project at the San Antonio Health Refugee Clinic, providing free medical, dental, and mental health care to refugee families.
Serving every Sunday on the First Aid Team at CBC Southside, a church family that has supported me deeply.
Beginning 240 clinical hours under a licensed PMHNP to gain real-world psychiatric experience.
I believe every challenge and opportunity I’ve faced is part of God’s purpose—preparing me to serve others with compassion, faith, and cultural understanding, especially in underserved communities.
If you feel led to support my journey—through prayer, sharing, or financial donation—I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of what God is doing in my life.
With love and gratitude,
Miguel Altamirano
