Travel is something that I deeply value and love sharing with my students. In my 13 years of teaching, one of my most cherished memories has been leading an international trip with them. The community I serve in downtown Los Angeles is filled with hardworking and deserving students who inspire me daily. In July 2025, I am thrilled to be taking a group of 11 students on a 9-day journey to Peru. I need your support to make this incredible opportunity a reality for one of them—Miguelina!

Miguelina is a bright and hardworking high school junior with big dreams. As a first-generation college-bound student, she is determined to become the first in her family to attend college and pursue her passion for teaching. Miguelina excels academically, is a joy to be around, and is loved by her peers and teachers alike. This trip to Peru will mark a milestone in her life—it will be her first time traveling outside of California and the United States.

While Miguelina has been working tirelessly to fundraise and cover half of the cost of this life-changing opportunity, her family is unable to shoulder the remaining expenses.
