Our dear friend Miguel Uscanga is facing the biggest challenge of his life.
After months of unexplained fatigue and weakness, Miguel was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he spent over a month undergoing intensive testing and care. He was diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure with reduced ejection fraction — a life-threatening condition that requires a heart transplant for survival.
To qualify for a transplant, Miguel must have full-time caregiver support during and after the procedure. His sister, Nictheloy, and his niece, Rachel, have stepped up to be by his side. Miguel’s doctor has submitted a formal request to the U.S. Consulate in Calexico, Mexico, urging them to grant humanitarian visas for his caregivers to travel and support him through this critical time.
We’re launching this fundraiser to help cover Miguel’s urgent needs, including:
Travel and living expenses for his family
Medical-related costs not covered by insurance
Support for Miguel’s daily needs, as he has been unable to work since May 2025
⏳ Time is of the essence. Without a transplant, Miguel’s prognosis is extremely poor. But with your help, we can give him the fighting chance he deserves.
Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward helping Miguel and his family navigate this medical crisis. If you’re not able to give financially, sharing this campaign or sending your love and prayers is also deeply appreciated.
Let’s come together to support Miguelito’s recovery and healing journey.
With gratitude, peace, and love,
