My name is Miguel. On April 18-19th I was volunteering at the Sawmill Aid Station for the Leona Divide Ulta Marathon helping runners to accomplish their goals of running either 100-Miles or 100-Kilometers. It was an incredible experience; everyone out there was inspiring and supportive.
After an exceptionally long volunteer shift (11AM Saturday until 5AM Sunday) I was driving home on the mountain roads in the dark without cell reception, when I hit a sharp turn and lost control of my truck. I hit the mountain before ultimately flipping. The truck is completely totaled and unfortunately, I did not have full coverage.
This was my first car…. my mode of transportation to work, my freedom, my ticket to taking my four kids camping and hiking and enjoying the outdoors. It provided my family with memories and an opportunity to explore life together.
I am asking for help to get back on my feet and purchase a new vehicle for my family. Any amount of money, support, guidance, or simply sharing means more that you could possibly know. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
