Support Midler Family Medical Expense

Hi I’m Heather. As many of you know my stepfather Mark was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer. This has been a shocking diagnosis to our entire family.

A couple months ago you could find Mark walking a couple miles a day, attending his grandson’s football games, ministering at the local jail, or taking an opportunity in conversations to tell one of his many stories.

He began to feel tired in August and by September was having some stomach pain. By October he could barely keep food down and we knew something was not right. After several test the doctors determined it was an aggressive form of GI cancer and his stomach had quite a large tumor.

Unfortunately, with most stomach cancer by the time you have symptoms it has already progressed to stage 4. There is no cure from the doctor’s perspective.

Marks faith in God is strong and we all know that God is the Great Healer of our bodies and our souls. So we put our trust in Him during this time.

“Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise”. Jeremiah 17:14

First and foremost we are asking for prayer. Prayers for healing, comfort, and strength for Mark and my mom Beckie.

The second way you can support them is financially. They have unexpected medical expenses that they could not have planned for. There will be cost for treatments, transportation to appointments, and whatever Mark needs to manage the pain going forward.
