For more than 30 years, Mickey Demos has been a force in the Miami boxing scene — not only as a fighter, but as a beloved coach, mentor, and role model. He’s helped countless inner-city youth find direction, discipline, and purpose through boxing, guiding them away from violence and toward something greater. But Mickey’s impact goes beyond just kids — he’s helped adults and professionals throughout Miami stay healthy, get in shape, and build confidence through his unique training style and unwavering support.

Now, Mickey needs our help.

Just last month, he suffered a heart attack — a serious blow that already had him on a difficult road to recovery. Then, this past Sunday, he was the victim of a hit-and-run motorcycle accident while riding home. He suffered a broken clavicle, fractured scapula, three broken ribs, and severe road rash across most of his body. The physical pain is immense, but so are the medical bills, recovery costs, and the emotional toll.

Despite everything, Mickey is still pushing forward with his dream of launching a nonprofit boxing program to help at-risk youth. He’s given so much to our community — now it’s our turn to fight for him. Any donation will go toward his medical expenses, recovery, and keeping his vision alive during this incredibly difficult time.
