Support Michiko's Dream to Compete in Spain

Hello! My name is Michiko (Miko) Magnant, and recently, I was selected to join the U24 USA Mixed National Team for Ultimate Frisbee, which will compete for gold in June in Logroño, Spain, from June 21-28! There, I will compete with 71 other athletes who were chosen from a pool of 600 applicants, 200 of which were selected to try out.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm from the DC area and am currently at the University of Oregon playing for Fugue. I started playing Ultimate Frisbee in high school in 2018, where I later joined my first YCC team in DC. I fell in love with the game and how the addition of Spirit of the game added something special that I hadn't seen before in other sports. Later, when I entered college, I couldn't afford to go to a big school with a frisbee team. However, despite not having a team or program to play for, I found wonderful ultimate communities in Olympia and Seattle, WA, where I would commute almost every weekend to play and try out club teams for the next year. After hard work and dedication, I decided to transfer to the University of Oregon, where I had the chance to both further my education and play for the Gender Diverse team called Fugue and I was also given the privilege of representing Oregon even further by playing with Portland Schwa during the club season.

To play for a U24 USA National Team has been a dream of mine since I started playing. However, with this amazing opportunity to represent the US, it can be difficult to afford as a college student. While I will work hard to afford as much as possible, I ask for your help. By donating, you're helping me cover the costs of the following:
