Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger is a 501(C3) organization whose mission since 1991 is to create connections between hunters, wild game processors and non-profit charities to supply nutritious venison, to help support Michigan communities in need.
As of October 1, 2024 MSAH NO LONGER receives funding from Outdoor License donations connected with the MDNR. We now rely solely on tax deductible direct donations from individuals and organizations.
Rest assured, 100% of all donated funds go directly toward reimbursing deer our Deer Processors as well as supporting the program. A small amount ( ±5%) may be used for administrative costs such as printing, postage, website hosting, phone, etc. MSAH members do not receive compensation.
Since 2014 hunters, processors, and financial supporters have donated approximately 7000,000 pounds of processed venison, providing 2.8 million hot, nutritious meals to people in local Michigan Communities through Food banks, Pantries and Shelters. During the 2023-24 season alone , we provided nearly 115,000 lbs. of venison helping create 460,000 meals.
The need is even greater today. With hunting season fast approaching, we need to start raising funds now to determine how many deer donations we can support in 2025. Please consider contributing to help us continue this vital work!
