Support Michia's Recovery After Severe Accident

Donation protected
Update: Everything is going good so far, his surgeries have healed great and he has great blood flow through his artery. We see a special surgeon on December 19th to see if they can repair the damaged nerves because he can’t feel or move his arm from the elbow down still. He is walking so much better and doesn’t use a cane anymore, we are still struggling due to the working situation but all we can do is hope. We want to say thank you to everyone who has donated ❤️

On October 5, 2024 at 12:30am a horrible accident happened. Michia was out with some friends on his motorcycle , when he hit a curb which threw him through a fiberglass light post, making it land on him.
when we arrived at the emergency room they said he has a lower spine fracture, severely bruised lungs, one punctured/collapsed lung (part), broken collarbone & arm
Well the next thing I know a surgeon comes in. She tells us that after looking at all images taken, his arm isn’t broken but collarbone is and it pinched the vein that allows the blood flow to his right arm and they need to rush him to Emergency surgery.
7 Hours later (4:40am-11:45am) Michia is out of surgery. We find out it wasn’t a pinched vein but a severed main artery that was cut in half. They put an artificial graph to connect the artery back together and also had to cut open his right lower arm to allow for swelling of his muscles. While in surgery they also discovered he has some major nerve damage. He cannot feel or move from his elbow down on his right arm and the spine fracture was more severe then we originally thought so he will need another surgery. He has a long road ahead of him but we thank god that he is still here with us.
Michia and me (Kate) have been in the hospital for over a week now and hoping we get out soon but that is currently TBD. He also has no insurance so medical bills are gonna be rough. We are both currently out of work due to this and we have a baby girl on the way coming February.
We didn’t want to make this but we figured it might help with medical bills so thank you if you can help but if not we understand! ❤️
