Michelle has always been a fighter, facing every challenge with determination and humor. In December 2020, her life changed dramatically when she tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized for 12 days with dangerously low oxygen, high fever, and seizures. Despite the severity of her illness, Michelle remained positive, even as her health continued to decline in the months that followed. She was airlifted from New Hampshire to Maine due to extremely low oxygen and heart complications, and since then, she has relied on an oxygen tank and has developed neuropathy, memory loss, heart disease, brain fog, and diminished lung capacity.

Through all of this, Michelle’s spirit has never wavered. She and my father even started a small business selling hot dogs together, bringing laughter and joy to those around them. Michelle is known for her quick wit, her honesty, and her refusal to give up. Now, she faces her biggest challenge yet: a double lung transplant. She will be added to the transplant list as soon as this week, and the surgery could happen at any moment. The need for support is urgent, as both Michelle and my father are unable to work during this time and need help covering bills and living expenses while she undergoes this life-saving procedure.
