Support Michelle's Journey to Seizure-Free Life

Hi everyone, my name is Michelle and this is a little about me. On February 22, 2014, I was a victim of a violent crime that resulted in me being shot twice in the head. I was 2 months pregnant and as my daughter likes to say "we survived together." As a result of that injury I now suffer from tonic-clonic (gran mal) seizures. Recently, my epilepsy has reached the point where medication can no longer control my seizures. My doctor suggested I get an implant known as a "vagus nerve stimulator". So that's what I am trying to do! Unfortunately the procedure is not covered by my insurance so I am trying to raise the funds to get the procedure and live the life we all deserve to live. I want to spend time with my daughter and have her know that her mom is safe, I don't want her to worry about giving me my rescue inhaler or maybe she won't be able to help me. More than anything, I want to be around to watch her grow, help her when she has questions, and support her through the struggles of life. Thank you so much for your help. I would also appreciate it if you shared this on social media and with your friends and family.
