Two months ago, Michelle was working, parenting, and living a full life. Today, she is in constant pain, in and out of the hospital, and fighting for stability while her family struggles to keep up with the weight of it all.

Over the past two months, Michelle’s health has declined rapidly. What began as pain has turned into repeated hospital and ER visits as doctors work to manage symptoms that have become increasingly difficult to control at home.

Michelle hasn’t been able to work, and Travis has had to step away from work to care for her while also supporting their two young children, Reagan (4) and Ford (7). Their world has been turned upside down as they try to navigate an overwhelming and uncertain time.

Michelle was initially believed to have sarcoma, but doctors have since confirmed her diagnosis as Adrenal Gland Cancer. This has has brought not only emotional and physical challenges, but significant financial strain as well. With both parents unable to work, the family is struggling to keep up with mounting medical bills, hospital travel, childcare needs, and everyday living expenses.

Right now, their focus is simple and heavy: getting Michelle the care she needs and making sure their children feel safe, supported, and loved—even as life feels unpredictable.

How Quickly This Has Unfolded

To help others understand just how rapidly Michelle’s health has changed, here is a brief timeline of the past two months:

• 12/9: Michelle went sledding with her children

• 12/10: She began experiencing pain

• 12/29: Primary care visit — initially diagnosed and treated for sciatica

• 1/3: ER visit — sciatica diagnosis and treatment

• 1/4: ER visit — continued pain and treatment

• 1/5: Admitted to Mayo Clinic (Red Wing), where an adrenal mass was identified

• Approx. 1/28: Transferred to Mayo Clinic Rochester and diagnosed with metastatic adrenal cancer

• 1/5 – present: Ongoing inpatient treatment at Mayo Clinic

As of 2/9:

• Completed 5 rounds of radiation

• Completed 1 round of chemotherapy

• Next round of chemotherapy scheduled for 2/18
