Support Michelle's Heart Transplant Journey

Update 7/27:

Good news and bad news. Good news - Michelle has been working hard in the hospital to improve her health in order to prepare for her transplants. Bad news - the wait taken much longer than expected. She has been in the hospital almost 300 days. Being unable to work, finances are tight as her stay is much longer than expected. I know many of you have been generous in the past and hoping you will consider another donation as she tries to continue to pay rent and bills while at MGH.

Update 11/9:

Michelle got news yesterday that she will need both heart and kidney transplant. Despite this she is doing ok. I know many friends, acquaintances and perhaps even people that don’t know Michelle have donated to the fund. She appreciates everyone’s generosity. If you are a friend and are interested in visiting, please let me know. That’s what she needs more than anything right now. Or even a chat on the phone. Thanks again everyone.

Update:

Great news! Michelle was presented to the transplant board and she is second on the list. While it still means potential significant wait time, she has been living with this for so long that it is such a relief. Thanks to all for your support!! I will update when there is more news.

Michelle finally has the opportunity she has been waiting for. She is in the hospital awaiting a heart for a transplant. A very exciting but scary time for sure.
