Michelle was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer after months of pain without answers. What started as a mass in her lungs led to the discovery of a larger mass in her uterus. The mass in her lungs turned out to be benign. The one in the uterus, however, was not. She has been out of work for going on 3 months.

After undergoing a complete hysterectomy that removed her uterus, ovaries, partial cervix, 3 lymph nodes, and many biopsies she was looking forward to returning to work. Unfortunately, the pathology on the lymph nodes have come back positive and have been sent to Mayo for ultra-staging. This is not the news any of us were hoping for. This will likely result in further tests and treatment beyond surgical options.

I am creating this gofundme to give her some peace of mind during this health journey because as it stands, her not being able to contribute to her home financially has affected her negatively. Those of you who know her, Michelle is ALWAYS the positivity in the room. She’s the one cracking jokes and doesn’t let anything serious take her down. Throughout this, she has tried so hard not to lose that spirit, but seeing the toll it’s taking on her wife to be the only one able to work has started to dull her shine.
