Support Michelle’s Family: Cancer and Autism Care

Hello,
My name is Angela and I am raising funds today for my sister Michelle. She and her husband work full-time jobs and they have one son who is 11 years old , he is autistic. My sister teaches from home and works all day minus the hours that she brings her son to and from school. Her husband works all day and then in the evenings he would take their son to the park so he can play and she can work.
A little over two weeks ago her husband was diagnosed with stage four metastatic cancer. Our family is rallying around them to cover shifts, pick up medical supplies and help with meals as much as we can but we are all utilizing our resources and there isn't much leftover. The medical bills are mounting.
I am reaching out in hopes of raising money so I can purchase several months of online digital design and animation classes for her son. He loves animation so much, he creates so many creative, short films and characters, I’ve included a few photos of them in this GoFundMe. Along with classes, I’m looking to raise enough money to get him an iPad that has enough memory to store the stop animation films that he creates.
By him attending the classes twice a week after school it will give him a creative outlet and help to keep him busy during the time that he would normally be with his dad. It will also give him something to learn and practice during a time that he would normally be at the park with his dad and while my sister is working.
My sister and her family are not in a position to be able to afford a caretaker to come in and help. So I started this fundraiser as a way to help her son to continue to create and learn something he is really passionate about. Then, while he’s learning and creating those evenings, my sister can continue to teach with less interruptions and her husband can rest and heal.
If we raise above the amount requested, the additional money will go to their family to help with medical bills and groceries.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this request.
