Hi everyone, I’m Elaina, and I’m writing this for my best friend Michelle. This is honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Michelle is going through something no one ever expects to face. She recently found out that she has cancer that has metastasized, and it has turned her whole world upside down. On top of the cancer, she’s been dealing with a lot of other painful symptoms — burning, swelling, back pain, trouble moving — things that make even basic daily life a struggle. She’s been trying to handle all of this quietly while still being a mom and trying to hold things together. Her kids don’t know what’s really going on, because she’s trying to protect them and keep things as normal as possible for now.
Because of everything happening with her health, Michelle has had to go on medical leave. With no steady income, the medical bills, appointments, treatments, and just normal living expenses are piling up really fast. She’s overwhelmed, scared, and exhausted — but still fighting every day. I’m setting up this GoFundMe to take even a little bit of the weight off her shoulders. She shouldn’t have to fight cancer and worry about money at the same time.
Donations will help with things like cancer treatments and follow-up care, appointments, scans, medications, regular bills and living expenses while she can’t work, transportation to and from appointments, and stability for her and her kids during this time. If you know Michelle, you know she’s the kind of person who would give her last bit of energy to help someone else. She’s always been strong for everyone around her. Now she needs people to be strong for her. Anything helps — truly. Even sharing this means so much. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting her in whatever way you can.
