Support Michelle's Cancer Battle and Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m writing to share some unexpected news: in January 2025, I was diagnosed with blood cancer. While the prognosis is good and I am hopeful for a full recovery, I must undergo chemotherapy to address it; the treatment is expected to last for the next six months.
This journey has been financially challenging. In addition to the cancer diagnosis, I manage multiple disabilities and chronic pain, which are already a financial burden. These ongoing expenses take up a significant portion of my monthly budget, and with the added cost of cancer treatment - including surgery, imaging, and chemotherapy - things have become more overwhelming.
The funds I raise will go directly to cover my basic living expenses, such as rent, utilities, medical bills, and care for my service animal, Apollo. This support will also help with additional holistic treatments to manage side effects and pain, allowing me to focus on my recovery without the worry of financial strain.
As an individual who values independence and privacy, asking for help is difficult but I realize I can’t do this alone. Any amount or show of support helps.
If you’re unable to donate but want to show support there are many ways you can chip in! Making artwork, helping with chores, walking Apollo, providing transportation, sharing meals or words of encouragement are all beautiful gestures. You are welcome to share this gofundme on your social media page if inclined. I am grateful for any form of support and I appreciate your kindness and generosity in all forms.
In order to focus on my health, I’ve decided not to share details about my treatment or condition at this time. I will update everyone when I’m feeling better, thank you for respecting my privacy.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for your understanding and for your support. Your kindness means more than I can express and I am so grateful to have you in my corner during this journey.
With love and gratitude,
Michelle
