Support Michelle’s Breast Cancer Recovery
Michelle, my dear friend, was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Doctors have found spread outside of the original two tumors and she is now facing the difficult journey of undergoing treatment options starting with her first surgery, April 17th. Michelle will undergo a mastectomy with some reconstruction. During this time her surgeon will be taking some lymph nodes for testing to further determine if the breast cancer has had any further spread within her lymphatic system.
This news has been overwhelming for Michelle and those who care about her, but she is approaching it with incredible courage and hope while trying to sustain "normalcy" for her kids and continued care for her mother. As Michelle prepares for surgery and the road to recovery, she will need our support in many ways. She is requesting prayers of not only cancer free, healing & recovery, yet is specific about a clear bill of health within her lymph.
The funds raised through this campaign will help Michelle with the already mounting costs of co-insurance of her medical bills, PT, as well as the everyday needs for her and her family. As you know, Michelle is self employed as a hairstylist so when she isn't working, she isn't earning. With multiple surgeries and recovery ahead Michelle will be out of work for sometime.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her journey.
If you've ever met Michelle, you know what a beautiful soul she is inside and out. She is always there to brighten others with her smile, humor and contagious fun personality. Now, it’s our turn to rally around her and show her the same kindness and support she has given to so many. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help Michelle through this challenging time.
