Michelle Pahl's Battle Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Souls,

We're reaching out to you today with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits as we launch this GoFundMe campaign for our beloved Michelle Pahl. If you’re here, then you no doubt have had the privilege of being a part of Michelle’s life in some form. So, she likely needs no introduction. But if I may, allow me to paint just a brief picture of this wonderful, wonderful human being I get to call my sister.

Growing up, Michelle was a cornerstone of our family; a loving daughter, an inspiring sister, and a true friend. As kids and young adults, facing life’s many hardships, she was always there for my brother and I to help lead us through troubling times. Even now, as adults, my sister is one of the first people I call when things get tough, or I just need someone to talk to.

That innate instinct to nurture and care for others, unsurprisingly, carried through as she built a family of her own. For more than 3 decades, Michelle has been the foundation of her family; a loving mother, a cherished wife. The hardships she would face as a young mother were surely too much to ask of anyone, but she met them with grit, poise, and perseverance. And as her children grew to have children of their own, Michelle was again met with unbearable tragedies that would shake any family to its core. And yet, as a mother and grandmother, she found a way to help find calm amongst the chaos, as only a true matriarch can.

At 51 years old, Michelle should finally be able to relax. She should be able to enjoy this family she has built, bask in the love of her grandchildren, relish in the joys of life, and enjoy the fruits of her labor. Instead, her life has taken an unexpected turn as she now faces her greatest challenge yet: battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Michelle's diagnosis has come as a shock to us all, but her resilience and unwavering determination to beat this disease are inspiring. Despite the pain, fear, and uncertainty, she begins her fight with all the grace and courage she has demonstrated her entire life - the true definition of strength.

Unfortunately, the harsh reality of beating this terrible disease is the staggering cost. As Michelle undergoes chemotherapy and other necessary treatments, the financial burden weighs heavily on her shoulders. With the recommendation to not work during her fight, the strain on her family's finances will be immense. Adding an extra layer of stress during an already difficult time.

This is where we need your help. We are rallying together to support Michelle in her fight against cancer by doing what we can to alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses.
