Michelle Beckman is a pillar of our community—known for her fierce love for her son Nico, her devotion to local sports, and her talent as a self-employed makeup artist. If you’ve had the opportunity to meet Michelle, you know she is always ready to make you laugh and will move mountains for her loved ones.
On January 18, Michelle was diagnosed with brain cancer. Doctors found 27 cancerous lesions, with the largest on her brainstem, which is causing the most serious complications. Since then, she’s been in and out of the hospital facing surgery, treatments, and many appointments. Michelle and her husband Mike are both self-employed, and their income has nearly stopped while Michelle fights for her health. Their son Nico is attending Bluefield University in Virginia and playing football, which adds distance and stress to an already impossible situation.
We are raising funds to help cover urgent medical bills and treatments not fully covered by insurance, travel and lodging for treatments and family support, lost income for Michelle and Mike while they care for Michelle, household bills, utilities, groceries, and college-related expenses for Nico. Michelle gives so much to our community—always volunteering her time to help with local sports organizations, supporting local families, and brightening lives through her work. Now she needs us. Any gift, big or small, will help lift the financial burden so Michelle and her family can focus on healing and being together. Donations will go toward medical expenses, travel and lodging, everyday living expenses during recovery, and any necessary home care. We’ll post regular updates and maintain transparency about how funds are spent. Please donate, share this page, and leave messages of encouragement for Michelle, Mike, and Nico. Thank you for your love and support. Every share and donation makes a difference.
