Support Michelle After Tragic Loss

Michelle Garcia has been my best friend for 30 years. We started as neighbors, and our kids grew up together. Michelle is a hard worker who would never ask for help, but now she is facing an unimaginable tragedy and needs support from her community.

Her son Amare, just 23 years old, suffered from mental health issues since he was a teenager. Despite his efforts to get help—including two hospital visits—he was unable to access the care he needed. After a mental health breakdown, Amare was shot by police and passed away. Michelle is now grieving the loss of her beloved son while facing another crisis: she received an eviction notice and has only a few days to move out. Her landlord will not let her stay, and she is at risk of losing her home while still coping with her loss.

Michelle's paycheck covers her day-to-day expenses, but she was not prepared for the sudden costs of moving. She will also be looking into group therapy to help her cope with the trauma. Funds raised will help Michelle cover moving expenses including deposit and fees, and support her as she seeks counseling. Please help Michelle during this devastating time. Your support will give her hope and stability as she grieves and rebuilds her life.
