My name is Michele Barnes and I’m a 64-year-old woman living in the country taking care of dumped dogs on our county roads.
I was going to stop at a dozen, but could not leave this mama and her beautiful 7-week-old puppies on the side of a busy road to be run over.
I picked them up in June of last year and have been taking care of them (along with my other 10 dogs) without much financial help.
They are running out of room in my little outdoor back section of the house at 600 sq ft and a fenced-off section inside the house for cold and rainy times.
Currently, I have 4 dogs in an RV with 1,500 sq ft to roam and play. Need to take the old quarantine area (pictured with camping chair) and build these 8-month-old pups a shelter and fence off 4,000 sq ft (pictured with sun) on our property.
Will be doing the work myself… just need help purchasing supplies: fence posts, T-post brackets, wood, concrete blocks to prevent digging under the fence, interior walls for shelter, plywood for flooring, insulation, heater, and A/C because we live in NE TX.
Your help would be appreciated so much and give these dogs the chance for a happy life!!
