A few weeks ago, I received news that my sister-in-law Michele was diagnosed with cancer.

As you can imagine our family was devasted. Especially my brother Gerald who was hearing that his life partner and business partner was about to go through such a difficult journey. For 15 years she has been his rock and guiding light.

Michele’s first thought went to their 14-year-old twins, Kiera and Caleb. How would she be able to continue to volunteer at every swim meet? Fundraise for the Savannah Swim Team? How is this going to affect her volunteer work with Georgia PTA?

This sums up Michele, always putting others first. Now I think it is time for Michele to come first. Wondering exactly how to help we decided a GoFundMe account was best. As you can imagine this difficult journey becomes more difficult when the oncology and hospital bills start rolling in. With the out-of-pocket expenses rising, we ask for financial support for those that can donate and prayers and good wishes from all.
