Mom started throwing up in October, thinking she had the stomach flu. After three different episodes of getting sick a few weeks apart, she went to the ER where they did an ultrasound and sent her home with ulcer medicine. When the symptoms continued for another month, she scheduled an appointment with a GI doctor who ordered a colonoscopy. They found a cancer tumor and sent her to Casper for urgent surgery. During surgery, the doctor found the cancer had spread and confirmed it is Stage 4. She gave Mom a colostomy and did not remove the tumor because Mom needs to go to a specialist in SLC at the Huntsman Center for a more intensive surgery and treatment.

Mom and Dad have several trips to SLC in their future and financial stress has set in. Mom and Dad have Christian Healthcare Ministry so they will be required to self pay for several things before getting reimbursed by CHM.
