Dear friends, students, and dharma community,
Please consider lending your support in my battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer. I would love any help covering the myriad of medical costs, supporting my husband with the costs of hospice if treatment doesn't work, as well as helping me sustain the "Clearlight at The Yoga Space" teaching platform for the ongoing preservation of my teachings of dharma, yoga asana, vajra yoga, Niguma Yoga, and Clearlight Yoga Nidra.
I turned 60 years old this past November, and all year I felt I was beginning to say goodbye. I kept telling myself it must just be a deep contemplation of impermanence and moving into a new chapter in life. But in fact, I had a hidden cancer that my intuitive body sensed, and I was in the process of letting go. I closed my beloved longtime Portland yoga studio, The Yoga Space. And I even let go of my lead teaching role with Robert Thurman in our Vajra Yoga School, feeling I must find my way back to a deep personal practice. I had the most blessed year of audiences with great spiritual masters: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness Sakya Trichen, His Holiness Tai Situ Rinpoche, H.E. Ling Rinpoche, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche, and I went to see my longtime yoga teacher Richard Freeman, as I felt I needed to thank him for all he had shared before it was too late. Now it seems certain that I was being guided for these precious blessings before this journey home.
I very much believe in miracles, and even though my prognosis isn't good, I still have hope I will have more time here to share teachings and stories and beauty with you all. Your support will be felt, and I am so grateful you have been in my life to share in the beauty that is always present when we look closely.
Anything you can give would be so very much appreciated,
With love,
Michele Loew
