❤️ Support Michele Linane in Her Fight for Recovery

On April 12, 2026, Michele Linane began feeling unwell and visited a walk-in clinic, believing she was dealing with a lingering sinus infection, congestion, or allergies. She was given medication to help with her cough and returned home.

That night, everything changed.

In the middle of the night, Michele struggled to breathe. An ambulance was called, and she was rushed to Griffin Hospital, where she has remained ever since.

Michele has been diagnosed with Human Metapneumovirus and septic shock, and she is currently in critical condition in the ICU. Since being admitted, she has faced numerous serious challenges—but true to who she is, Michele continues to fight with strength and resilience.

Michele is a lifelong resident of Derby and has been a beloved Preschool Director for over 20 years. She has touched the lives of countless children, families, students, and teachers with her kindness, dedication, and warmth.

Though she has a small immediate family—her loving mother, sister, and brother-in-law—Michele’s circle is truly much larger. Her friends are like family, because that’s how she treats everyone she meets.

Anyone who knows Michele will tell you the same thing: she would give you the world if she could. Her caring heart, selfless nature, and that unforgettable laugh have brought comfort and joy to so many.

This sudden and devastating illness has left her loved ones heartbroken and facing an uncertain road ahead. Michele has been one of my best friends for over 30 years and the Godmother to my son. She has been there for me countless times and now it is time to let others take care of her. She will use the funds towards assisting with: medical and doctor’s visits, easement into the recovery process, physical therapy aids, household bills, and more.
