Support Michailla's Journey to Stability

Hello! To those that don’t know me, my name is Michailla. I’m a single mom to my 10-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter.

I begrudgingly am making this because I have really hit rock bottom. Life has continuously thrown trial after trial at me and after finally leaving a four-year narcissistic abuse relationship, it has left me thousands behind in debt.

I had a car accident on May 1, 2024. I only just got it back from major repairs on June 21. I knew it had many repairs due, not related to the accident but I did not know the severity of them. I took my car into the shop for repairs thinking I had plenty to pay for the obvious needs (brake pads, rotors, calipers, and an oil and filter change). They called me to tell me there was $3,400 worth of repairs just to make it safe for them to let me drive it. This does not include the other attention it needs but can be put on the back burner.

On top of the repairs, I am just over $1,500 behind on my car loan and if I can’t pay at least one payment before July 8, they will be repossessing my car.

I also have rent due on July 1, of $1100, my other utilities due and I am just honestly drowning.

I just got a new job with better hours to actually be the one to pick my kids up in the afternoons, and see them more than I have been able to in years.

I also was able to pick up a part-time job, and I started doing DoorDash and Instacart to help with my budget deficit, and to start getting caught up and eventually ahead again. Now I can’t do any of these things without my car.

I can’t take my children to daycare or their summer activities. I can’t take them to do anything fun other than the nearby park. I can’t get us to church on Sundays, which I have actively been trying to make a bigger part of all three of our lives.

I am not one to go out of my way to ask so publicly for help but I am officially at a loss. I do not know how else to get by other than praying and asking for the help.

I don’t expect anyone to help me in huge quantities, but literally anything helps. It’s that much more than.
