Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Our dear friend Michael was involved in a dirt bike accident that resulted in multiple fractures and other injuries. The doctors have informed us that he will need extensive surgery, followed by months of rehabilitation during which Michael will be unable to work.

This unfortunate incident will require him to be bed/couch bound for 23 hours a day. In one week he will be getting surgery if enough swelling has came down in his leg and foot.

He will have a long road to recovery and needs help with his day to day activities.

Michael’s wife Hannah, has recently started a new job and does not qualify for family leave to be able to assist him full time like she would like to. The days she does take off to care for him will be unpaid which is an added burden when she will be the only full income during his recovery.

As many of you know Michael is a mail carrier for USPS. He takes great pride in his job and is always chatting with and helping his customers. He is used to walking over 12 miles daily.As a mailman, Michael’s job is physically demanding, and being off his feet for such an extended period is not only a physical challenge but also a financial one. With mounting medical bills and the loss of income, the financial strain will be overwhelming.

Many people have asked how they can help with food, cleaning, etc.We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help cover Michael’s medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and daily living expenses during his recovery.
