Michael was recently involved in a severe weather-related car accident that left him with multiple injuries and a long road to recovery. He spent several nights in the ICU and has now been in the hospital for four days in which for two of those days, Michael was placed in a medically induced coma. After undergoing surgery to repair a fractured and displaced shoulder, Michael is now in both a neck and back brace due to additional fractures in his spine. The accident has left him unable to manage independently, and his parents have taken medical leave from work to be by his side and support him through this difficult time. Unfortunately, Michael missed the insurance deadline at his workplace by just a week, leaving him without coverage for his extensive medical needs. The mounting hospital bills are a heavy burden for his family, who are doing everything they can to help him heal. Despite the challenges, they are incredibly grateful that Michael is still here and fighting to recover.
