Support Michael "PAPA" Nuellen's Journey with Compassion

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brett Cox, a friend to Michael. I have run many benefits throughout my career. I'm a current disaster assistance worker on my own, and I have fed half of Florida through the years, well over half a million people. In other words, I am a giver. I like to help. That, in fact, is why I am creating this GoFundMe for Michael. Because I know about the bills he is paying, because we have talked about his cancer. While Michael has a great social security income, he still has to pay copay. One visit alone was $2,400 that he had to pay before ever being seen. Cancer is a funny little monster that the government has complete control over. If you don't have the money to fund it, your loss.

Now let's get straight to Michael, who he is, and what his ailment is right now. First off, he has this cancer at stage 4... "Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma" In layman's terms, it means the tumor originates in the bile ducts inside the liver. Don't quote me on that because there are bile ducts outside of the liver. Needless to say, it is inside right now, and it's taken out his gallbladder as well. Its entire future purpose is to attach to the rest of his organs and take them out. And unfortunately, poor money will not have the impact as rich money will. Keep in mind, this goes for all of us. It's just the way of the government that we live under. And that is without being political.

Now let's talk about Michael. What an incredible, selfless, inspiring, good-hearted person! If you know him, you know I'm spot on with that terminology. That terminology is what inspired and created the need to call him Papa. Because Papa always takes care of everybody. Mama does too, but that wouldn't be a fitting nickname for a man. :-) I personally have never seen or talked to anybody that has any kind of stage 4 cancer that still smiles, still looks forward to a bright future, still shares a positive attitude and love. And most of all... still believes in humanity as a whole! Hence his signature almost always says... "WE ARE ONE" certainly a favorite to all the local bands that know him. His knowledge of music is extensive, especially in the fact that he knows music brings people together. Music helps people deal with everyday life problems. Music has absolutely saved many lives. This is why Michael loves music and the musicians who put it out there. If you have availability to scroll his FB wall and watch some of his videos, you will see all I am describing.

He was completely wiped out of home, transportation, living arrangements, everything, during Hurricane Ian. And of course, a video arose a few short days after, expressing his love for everybody and asking for prayers. But still having a 100% complete positive attitude. Listen people, you don't find many human beings like this in your travels. I promise you. He needs our help. It's our duty as children of God to do what we can to help him. This is why I've started the GoFundMe. And I know a lot of people will question where the money's going. That is where I come in very transparent. I have had to be transparent while raising money to go feed people for years. So I'm used to it, and it's okay and very normal to question that in this day and age. Look in the pictures, and you will see a screenshot from my phone and the information that says where the money will go. I did not, and I will not post this on my own. Because anybody can make up a story and use someone else's picture. This will be shared from Michael's page after he reads it, accepts it, and most importantly, posts it himself. He hates asking for anything, but I tried to tell him it's too darn bad. You need it, and we're going to get it!! It's time to show him our love!
