Hello, my name is Michael “Bruh” Griggs. On November 2, 2025, I unexpectedly had a stroke. I went outside to feed my dog and was unable to walk. I was stumbling and feeling bad. I went back inside and realized that I wasn’t able to talk. I was at home alone and knew that I needed to get to the hospital. I give glory to God that I recognized that something wasn’t right and was able to drive myself to the hospital. After several hours in the ER and numerous tests, it was discovered that I was also in kidney failure. I am now on dialysis, 3 times a week. I was placed on the transplant list and my prayer is that they are able to find a donor.

Before my medical diagnosis, I was supplementing my disability with a part-time security job. This has been hard on me financially because I am now unable to work. Before this happened to me, my part-time work helped me afford my medications for diabetes and monthly bills. I have gone through inpatient rehab and am currently still regaining my speech, ability to walk, and write. My prayer is with the grace of God, I will be restored and healed.
