My eldest son, Michael Fitzgerald lost everything he owned in a fire a couple of days ago. Michael John is not only my son, he is truly one of my favorite people,

The fire began in the apartment next to him, After getting his dog out of harms way, he immediately went and tried to help the people next door, where it is believed to have originated. After trying his best, his efforts weren’t successful. By the time he went back to his own apartment, it was too late to save everything between the fire and smoke.

At this point he has to start completely over. While John and I are obviously helping way more than this donation shows, he needs more. This happened at the beginning of season where he lives, Saratoga Springs, NY. Which means even finding the smallest of places is going to be difficult. Between rent, security and all deposits, he also needs clothing, furniture- it is the worst nightmare for him after he has worked so hard.

He didn’t have rental insurance.

If you have met Michael, you are aware of his kindness, his huge heart, and killer sense of humor!

This is hard for us to create this fundraiser, but he needs more than we can do. After friends strongly encouraged us to create this- we decided that no one deserves a hand right now more than Michael. We live every day so proud of him, and how he turned his life around and became the person he is today.

if you can help in anyway, we would appreciate it so much. Regardless send some prayers, he literally has the clothes on his back and his puppy.
