My name is Michael, and I am reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer in my neck, and I am preparing for a series of surgeries, followed by radiation and chemotherapy treatments. The road ahead will require me to step away from work for several months, both for treatment and recovery. Unfortunately, my job does not provide paid leave for this duration, and I am deeply concerned about how I will continue to support my wife and our 4-year-old daughter, Althea, while I focus on healing.
