Support Michael's Beloved Lycan's Emergency Care

My name is Bela, I have created this go fund me on the behalf of my partner Michael Lundin and his sweet baby Lycan. On Thursday December 19th, we woke up to blood on the sheets of our bed and noticed it coming from her mouth, we took her to the vet thinking it was a minor dental problem, we were wrong. The vet told us her previously resolved condition, IMHA, has peaked it’s head back into her life. In 2020 she had a successful blood transfusion that although was very expensive, it turned out to save her life and shortly after she was back to being her lively, cuddly, hungry self. After the medication for her minor dental ache wasn’t working we noticed a drastic change in behavior and appetite so we brought her back to the emergency vet, this is when they told us she needed another emergency blood transfusion. This was on Monday, December 23rd, they did bloodwork and found her red blood cell count to be very low, and her platelets almost completely depleted. After putting an $8,000 dollar deposit down without second thought (because Mike would do anything for his baby) we gave them the green light to begin the emergency transfusion. The vets told us they would keep her overnight, for 24 hours. We were under the impression that after 24 hours we would get the call, head over to the vet and take her home for a yummy boiled chicken Christmas Eve dinner. Today, December 24th we scheduled a visit, this visit consisted of the vet telling us she was going to need another blood transfusion today, and possibly again tomorrow, with another overnight stay at the emergency vet. Of course we agreed to all the above because we want nothing more than for her to come home happy, healthy, and begging for treats. We inquired about how much more the additional stay, and two more blood transfusions would cost, the vet explained we could be sitting at a total of around $15,000. Last month Mike got his long overdue surgery on his ACL and meniscus. $15,000 is a lot of money to pay no matter what, but it is especially difficult when also managing tens of thousands of dollars in hospital bills for yourself. I’m making this go fund me to try to relieve just a sliver of financial stress on my partner who would do ANYTHING to see his little Lycan back home snoring in his arms. All donations will be used towards her upcoming emergency operations. We love her so so much, ❤️❤️ anything helps. Thank you.

UPDATE: When I wrote this we were estimated a $15,000 quote in bills, as of now we’ve already paid $19,000– and we’re still not done being billed yet, thank you again to everyone who has shared this and donated.
