Hello, my name is Rafael and I'm attempting to raise money to help cover medical costs for my son, Michael. Michael was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) back in January of this year. You can imagine how devastating it is for a 15-year-old to discover he will have a lifelong condition that can lead to major disabilities.

Although we have medical insurance that covers most of the costs, the co-pays are starting to add up. Having to follow up with a pediatrician, neurologist, MS specialist, physical therapy, dietician, occupational therapy, etc., sometimes multiple times a month, is draining, mentally and financially. The transportation costs alone are enormous. To top it off, I work for the federal government, so there's no telling if and when I'll get laid off and lose my medical insurance.

Please, whatever you have to spare will be appreciated. Having to hear my son tell his mom that he feels like a burden due to the cost of his care is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever heard.
