Hello, my name is Julie and I created this fundraiser on behalf of my father, Michael, who is currently battling stage 3 throat cancer. He is in the ICU and relies on both a tracheostomy tube and a feeding tube as he prepares to undergo intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

We are seeking support to help cover his living expenses and medical bills during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in easing the financial burden on our family.

UPDATE: December 29th

He was transferred to a long term facility a month ago. He is now swallowing water and able to eat puréed foods. My dad has completed both rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with anemia and had a blood transfusion last week. He still has the tracheostomy and Feeding tube which will have to remain in place for up to 3 months, or until they determine if the treatments were effective enough to prevent another round. On a positive note- he just achieved 2 years of Sobriety!

UPDATE: September 17th

Michael was diagnosed with pneumonia and is now receiving treatment. He was moved to the telemetry unit this week as well. We have been informed that he will be out of work for 8-12 months. We are told he will start radiation in 2-3 weeks and depending on outcome will have surgery or chemotherapy afterwards to remove the mass (if surgery is possible).
