Support Michael Mattila’s Battle Against Lung Cancer

On June 17, Michael started chemotherapy and radiation for non small cell lung cancer, stage III. It has been a journey up until this point with unknown medical issues, lots of fluid retention, and extreme fatigue beginning around Christmas 2023, which led to a cancer diagnosis end of May. During this time Michael has been unable to work due to the serious nature of his condition, which was unknown at that time.

Michael, Stephanie and girls have received a tremendous outpouring of support and love from their family, friends and community. Many have asked how they can support the Mattila’s best. We would like to rally together and help lessen the financial burden so they may focus on healing and the long road Michael is facing with ongoing medical treatments, daily drives and appointments at the U of M and the day to day.

We are hopeful and praying for Michael’s recovery. Thank you all for the thoughts, prayers, outreach & support during this time.
