November 16, 1984 – December 22, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael MacDonald, age 40, who passed away on December 22, 2024, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. The illness progressed unexpectedly quickly, and despite all efforts, Michael’s battle with cancer came to an end at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by his devoted mother, Michelle, and his beloved wife, Marigladis.

Michael is survived by his wife, Marigladis, and their two daughters, Alexandria and Alana. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Michael had a gift for lightening any room with a well-timed joke. His laughter was contagious, and his vibrant personality brightened the lives of everyone around him. Michael shared his humor and witty banter not only with friends and family but also with his daughters, Alexandria and Alana. He and Alana shared a special bond of playful and clever exchanges, their witty banter bringing joy to their time together and strengthening their relationship in a way only they could understand.

A lover of the outdoors, Michael found peace in nature, particularly through camping and hiking, where he was happiest. He also shared a deep bond with Alexandria, enjoying countless hours together collecting cards, a hobby that brought them closer and created lasting memories.

Michael was a devoted family man, and his legacy will endure in the memories he created with his loved ones. He was a source of love, laughter, and strength, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

A private memorial will be held to celebrate Michael’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with medical bills and funeral expenses during this difficult time.
