It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved Michael Wright, Jr., who died suddenly from an asthma attack on the morning of Tuesday, July 1st. This heartbreaking loss comes just three days after the death of our uncle—Michael’s uncle and his mother’s twin brother—on Saturday, June 28th. The pain of losing two family members in such a short span has been almost too much to bear.
Michael was a cherished father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was known for his gentle nature, infectious smile, and vibrant sense of style. His bright, beautiful eyes reflected the warmth and love he carried for everyone around him. Mike had a way of making people feel seen and cared for. No matter what he was going through, he always managed to say, “I can’t complain.” It was a testament to his strength, his faith, and his enduring kindness.
In recent years, Michael faced difficult challenges with his mental health, yet he continued to show up with love for those around him. His spirit, even in struggle, remained selfless and giving. He had an unshakable desire to support and protect his loved ones, often putting their needs before his own.
As we process this double loss, our family is left reeling and in need of support. We are raising funds to help cover Michael’s memorial expenses. Any additional contributions will go toward supporting his children and preserving the legacy he leaves behind.
We humbly ask for your support—whether through a donation, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping Michael’s mother, Diane Wright, his children, and all of us who loved him in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for honoring Michael’s life and helping us carry forward the love, light, and generosity that defined him.
With deep gratitude,
The Wright & Estis Families
