Hello Everyone. I'm Michael.

I never imagined I would be writing these words-again.

On March 5th, I lost the love of my life, Rebecca, after eight years of unimaginable challenges. It was my honor and privilege to be her full-time caregiver as Parkinson's slowly took so much from her. During those same years, I fought multiple cancers, most recently Head and Neck Cancer, which left me with serious, life-threatening GI complications.

Recently, our beloved dog Bella suffered a broken back, forcing me to use nearly all of our remaining savings to help her. The medical bills, household expenses, and unexpected costs to get back on my feet continue to arrive almost weekly.

For nearly a decade, I have shared our journey openly—more than four million words about love, caregiving, grief, cancer, Parkinson's, mental health, and hope. Many of you have walked beside Rebecca and me through our darkest days.

Then, shortly after Rebecca died, my verified account was hacked and taken from me, costing me over 30,000 followers and much of the community I spent years building. I'm doing my best to earn money through my books, but that's not working despite the great reviews of my book.

I know these are difficult times for everyone, and I never take your kindness for granted. But if my writing has ever comforted you, helped you, made you smile, or reminded you that you are not alone, I could use a little help now.
