Support Michael Stephenson's New Werewolf Slasher

Hey everyone.

My name's Michael Stephenson, and I'm a filmmaker based out of Sacramento, California. After graduating from Emerson College with an MFA in Writing for Film and TV, I've written and directed two films, 100 Dates and The Perfect Day. Now, I'm beginning pre-production on my third short film, KILLER.

KILLER was originally a concept I wrote as a feature script during grad school about a girl being chased by a masked killer, only to reveal she's been a werewolf doing all the killing this whole time. It's an idea that has weirdly stuck with me over the last few years, as I kept finding ways to revisit the characters and their world. While I still don't have the realistic means to make the full feature-length version of KILLER, I believe the experience I've gained making my first two films has put me in the perfect spot to create a short proof of concept.

My goal with this short film, is to deliver something that feels grand in scope, while staying self-contained. Something that promises the viewer there is more to this story and these characters. And hopefully, as my last two productions have continued to grow in scope and what we've been able to accomplish, producing this proof of concept will lead us down the path of creating the full version of KILLER.

As an independent filmmaker, I've learned that every dollar counts. And that has taught me to be thrifty and clever with how we use our budget. But ultimately, paying actors, editors, composers, etc. is a must in my eyes. While I have been able to self fund a portion of my previous films, I simply can't afford to do it alone. That's where you come in.
