In October 2025, Michael Ryan received devastating news—he was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia, a rare and aggressive cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow, preventing his body from producing healthy cells. Since then, his life has been turned upside down. He began chemotherapy immediately and has spent the past six months in and out of the hospital, enduring multiple rounds of intense treatment. Many days and nights have been filled with pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty. At the end of March, we learned his cancer is now refractory—resistant to chemotherapy and at high risk of relapse—making his condition even more serious. He began immunotherapy, which brings difficult side effects, and will continue treatment in the months ahead. Michael will likely need a bone marrow stem cell transplant or up to three more years of chemotherapy—both physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.
Throughout this journey, Michael has been unable to work since October and will remain out of work for the foreseeable future. In April, he also started new medications that are costly. Along with rent, utilities, gas, and frequent travel for treatment, the financial burden continues to grow as medical and pharmacy bills add up. Our hope is to ease some of this burden so Michael can focus on his health and continue his fight against leukemia.
We are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any support—through a donation or sharing his story—means more than we can express and will go directly toward his care and basic living expenses. Thank you for keeping Michael in your thoughts and prayers and for standing with him on this journey.
