Support Michael Rollins' Road to Recovery
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for Michael Rollins, a respected member of off road Jeep and scooter clubs located in the Southern California area. As a member of the South Bay Scooter Club, Michael was participating a Cannon Ball Run when he had an accident in Joseph, Oregon. He went off the road and down an embankment, severely injuring himself and damaging his scooter. He was Care Flighted to a hospital in Richland, Washington.
In the evening on Monday, June 23rd Michael was admitted to the ICU unit of the hospital with a brain bleed, a broken arm, cracked vertebrae in his back and scrapes to his face. Fortunately, the back injury will not need surgery and the doctor believes that there is nothing that Michael can’t recover from in time with physical and possibly speech therapy. As of July 6th, he is still in the ICU unit of the hospital and they are looking transfer him to a long term acute care unit.
Michael is insured but, like most of us, just doesn't have the means to pay for this sort of unexpected emergency and the continuing medical bills. Compounding that is the time that he will miss from work while he recovers which does not help him with his day-to-day expenses. All funds will go to pay the medical bills and any shortfall in living expenses if there is extended time off work required. For those of you who can contribute anything, no matter the amount, we thank you in advance for your generosity. For those of you who can’t, please keep Michael in your prayers as he recovers from this unfortunate accident.
Thank you!
