Support Michael recover from loss of car in hit-and-run

I've known Michael and his kid for years online, but only early this summer had the pleasure to meet them in person. They are incredible people who've just been dealt bad hand after bad hand. Michael is limited in what sorts of jobs he is able to work due to an old back injury, and living in Cleveland there aren't a whole lot of job opportunities to begin with so he has had to take whatever he can get, with his only potential sources of income relying on having a car. As anyone who's been in a similar situation can probably tell you, breaking this sort of cycle can be next to impossible without help.
Late last year, a deer ran out in front of his car on the highway in the dark and totaled it. Thankfully, a particularly kind soul was able to afford covering getting him a used car that he has since been slowly getting fixed up as he can afford to.
Sadly, after just having replaced the old tires, an unknown person in a pickup truck on the highway quickly switched lanes without signalling or checking, hitting Michael's car and sending him into the divider wall, before fleeing the scene. His car was instantly totaled.
At this point Michael is out of money, and without any means of making an income to replace the car or even buy basic necessities. The goal of this campaign is to raise money for Michael to be able to afford a replacement vehicle, or at the very least cover some of his expenses for the immediate future. Any amount will help him and his kid immensely. Thank you
