Support Michael on his benign Brain Tumor journey
Donation protected
In February of this year (2025) my little brother, Michael, was diagnosed with a rare, large (3cm), benign brain tumor - Vestibular Schwannoma. Leading up to Michael’s diagnosis, he experienced headaches, dizziness/imbalance, nausea, hearing loss, and facial numbness. Our family is so incredibly thankful for it’s benign nature; however, Michael will have to undergo a 6-10 hour brain surgery (depending on the entrance location) that will require a 3-5 day hospital stay and a minimum of 6 weeks off work. There are many risks associated with the surgery and the safest entrance guarantees 100% hearing loss in one ear.
Due to his quality of life and symptoms, Michael has taken all of his vacation time and is currently taking unpaid time off of work. I know that he is not only devastated over his diagnosis but is stressed, financially, due to developing this rare (1 in 100,000 a year) brain tumor. I also know that he would be completely against receiving help from friends and family but he truly would benefit to alleviate some of his stress.
I created this with a yearning to alleviate some of my brother’s stress and to help him to be able to focus on his health. If any of our family or friends are able to support, I will be, and know Michael will be, incredibly grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read thus far, please send prayers for a quick surgery date, successful surgery, and speedy recovery.
