Hi. My name is Tasha. On April 4, 2025, my son-in-law was involved in a motorcycle accident. His name is Michael McMahan. He's 23 years old with a 5-month pregnant wife and 15-month year old son.
Michael is a hardworking self-employed handy man and a dedicated family man. His job includes small construction projects and lawn care. Unfortunately, he won't be able to work for a while because of the massive injuries that he sustained.
He fractured his right fibula(leg) in two places and all of the toes on his right foot were completely fractured, including sustaining a rare fracture- Cuboid fracture. He has to wait 6-8 weeks before he can have surgery. Then once he has surgery to install rods and pins, he will continue to be out of work to recover.
He also has severe road rash completely over his body- both arms and hands, upper and lower torso, right hip and back, both legs, and left foot. His left leg and foot are in a cast. He will need to have skin grafts to help his wounds heal, which require daily wound care. His right lower lung also collapsed. He requires assistance to attempt to ambulate with crutches and transfer.
Michael isn't one to ask for help because he believes a man should work for what he needs. He has many medical bills that he's responsible for and upcoming necessary procedures that will have future medical bills. If he could, he would still be working because that's the young man that he is.
If you can find it in your heart to help this good-hearted young man so that he can get on the road to recovery to get back to work to support his family- it will be appreciated. Any amount will be a blessing! Thanks to everyone that donates and for the prayers.
