Support Michael McDonough's Mental Health Recovery

My name is Erin McDonough and I am the daughter of Michael McDonough. Due to financial hardships, the fear of losing our home, and many other contributing factors, my father suffered a severe mental health crisis last week and was missing with my vehicle. He has since been found and is receiving the mental and physical help that he needs. My vehicle, on the other hand, has been totaled.

Inpatient psychiatric care is costly. On top of all of our other financial worries, this expense is necessary but is financially devastating to our family. I’ve also had to take time out of work to handle this situation, therefore taking a pay cut. We are also now down to one vehicle and at some point in the future when my father is cleared to drive again, I will need a work vehicle. If you can be of any help, I would be eternally grateful. Even sharing is extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.

My dad raised my brother and I all on his own since we were 4 and 7 years old. He’s always been our rock. No matter what I needed, he was always there. He’s supported me through mental health struggles as well and I need to be there for him now. Seeing him like this is extremely heartbreaking and any help financially will ease his worries. I just want to show him that everything will be alright. It has to be.
